Men’s kimono
Men’s kimono are less varied and simpler in style than those for women.
Men’s kimono are also classified according to occasion and degree of luxury but can be broadly divided into formal wear with crests and casual wear without crests.
They are usually worn with haori (jacket in the form of a short kimono). When worn without, the impression is more casual.
Obis are also available for men’s kimono. They are narrower in comparison with obi worn by women and are fastened at the hip, not the waist.
Compared to women’s kimono, dressing men’s kimono is much less complicated. You can easily do this yourself. Please give it a try.
